New from Rio Rancho New Mexico
My name is Ian and I am from Rio Rancho, NM. Little to no experience in real estate outside of buying my personal home almost 3 years ago. Have been very interested in investing and real estate investment in particular. Have been browsing the podcasts and site for a few days and decided to go ahead and make an account as the site seemed pretty informative.

Welcomes as well. I have family in ABQ. We will probably visit in January. I love your area. When the wife and I were out there we looked at several new subdivisions built by the big names, DR Horton, etc. I was amazed at how low the HOA fees were. If I recall they were around $35/month. WHAT? We pay over $200 a month in SW Florida and our HOA fees aren't as bad as some. I am thinking ABQ may be a great place to have a second home. You have a LARGE market there with lots of opportunities. I know they took a downturn as most parts of the country did but prices have rebounded some. We took a drive up the mountain...what a beautiful place! If I moved out of SW FL permanently ABQ would be my first choice.
