Newbie From Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Hello everyone, I've been researching the idea investment property for a few years and stumbled upon Bigger Pockets and decided to join in.
I am a homeowner and I've been pretty successful with AirBNB which basically helped me to learn property management using what I already had & hands on so now I want to start looking for my first investment property.
My current status in real estate investment is: Saved up some cash and have access to a HELOC so now I'm searching for a good deal with my agent for my 1st investment property.
Feel free to give me any advice! Thanks for all of the resources and knowledge provided here!!!

@Vyaisha Moss welcome to Bigger Pockets! This site and all it offers is an invaluable tool for learning about real estate investing. I personally used the podcasts for great benefits in learning which direction I want to go with investing and how to get there.
Another resource that has been priceless for me is the local meetups in town such as the RING and the Passive Income with Real Estate Group. Both present fantastic opportunities for you to network with other local investors. I found a deal last night because I attended one of these groups and went to dinner after with several others who were there. Networking creates more opportunities for me than anything else and some of my now closest friends come from these groups.
