Newbie from West Chicago, Illinois
Hello BP,
I am new to real estate and am looking for recommendations on getting started in real estate. I have no background in this business, however I have worked in corporate America for the past twenty years. (It's time for a change to really enjoy what life has to offer.) Currently I am part of a real estate investment group that recently formed but is taking off slow. Therefore I would like to start my own real estate business in addition to the REI group. I reside in the Western Suburbs of Chicago and am interested in learning this business fast. Anyone in this group doing business in my area willing to share knowledge and or recommendations? The goal is to get started with hard money and build a cash reserve. I would like to have 2 rentals and 2 flips within the next twelve months, I think this is realistic?I look forward to the feedback and truly excited to be a part of this group! Thanks

There are several meetups in the western suburbs. There're 1 or 2 guru types so you just need to keep your wallet at home.
