Chicago area newbie!

Hello, I'm Ja'ami Mock, an engineering student at Iowa State University and I've been looking into real estate investments for some time now. I have family that are investors in real estate but they do not have much knowledge in wholesaling properties of which I am particularly interested in. Im currently in china for the next two weeks (Until June 19th) completing my foreign exchange semester abroad and I've been learning as much as I can online as well as trying to connect with as many other investors in the area or around the country (potentially virtually wholesaling property to them). I'm very anxious to get started in this business and I need help to go in the right direction. -Particularly contracts I'm looking for any knowledge from experienced Wholesalers/ investors that can pass their wisdom onto me and also looking to learn together with other upcoming investors in the business as well.
