Newbie From Dallas/Fort Worth

Hello BP members, my name is Chris and I live in Arlington, Texas. I am currently a marketing director and am looking to transition into REI in a full-time capacity in 5 years. The strategy that I have identified is to pursue buy and hold. I am interested in other opportunities such as flips and wholesale but will mainly be focusing on building long term passive income. My goal is to have over 50+ properties in 10 years.

I am currently in the education phase of my journey and am looking to find some mentors in my area in the next few months. Currently, I spend most of my free time reading, listening to BP podcasts and analyzing deals. I have short term goals of analyzing 90 deals in 90 days, reading 30 books on REI and biz books in 180 days, and attending local REIG meetings in the next month.

I am looking to purchase my first investment in Q1 of 2018 but if an opportunity comes before and I am prepared I am not opposed to taking action sooner!

I found bigger pockets a few years ago but it wasn't until a couple of months ago that my desire to build a wealth building portfolio through REI became crystal clear and led me back to join this great and supportive community.

I am truly thankful that this community exists and ultimately want to give back to others as much as so many have already given to me.
