New investor from Concord NH

Hello BP, new investor looking to make my first real estate investment purchase or flip. Like a lot of people I've been reading books, reading the forums, articles etc... The question still remains, when is a good time to start for me? When living in Florida, I was always envious/inspired by my boss who would purchase three or four homes at a time. Always wondering how he got in the position to acquire re like that. I would love to be in a position myself one day to do the same. I'm 34, with a wonderful wife and 2 beautiful children. Currently in the construction industry as a project superintendent, and enjoy what I do, but looking to make jump to the other side of the field when the time is right. I would like to meet other seasoned investors from the New Hampshire/New England area.
