Hey BP! Really excited to join this community after listening to the podcast for a few months. My name is Bryant Patterson, and I work at a small full-service (construction, acquisitions, management, investment sales) multifamily firm in Austin, Texas, focusing on financial analysis, pursuing construction and acquisition deals, and digital marketing. I've been in the CRE industry just over 4 years now.

While I work in the industry, it's a much different thing to start building your own portfolio, rather than just someone else's. My primary goal is to be living entirely off passive income by my 40th birthday (9 years!). I'm married with two boys (another due in a month) and want to be much more involved in my boys' lives than my father was.

Right now, my plan is to focus on what I know: multifamily. I'm not sure yet if that means starting solo with a duplex or seeking a partner(s) for a larger property.

Looking forward to meeting all of you!
