My name is Mark Thompson. I’m 36 Registered Nurse and just getting into the realm of Real Estate in the North Houston area. There really is a wealth of knowledge out there, so right now I’m reading everything I can on the different aspects of of the business, as well as making some local connections. Excited to get started and look forward to networking with some of you on here in the future. I’ll try and keep everyone posted with my progress and concerns. Thanks again

Welcome, Mark and congrats! I too am a newbie looking to make my mark in real estate investing.  Couple things I would suggest that I have found tremendously helpful. Find a mentor.  I have one here in Cleveland where I live and plan on doing business.  He has helped me make a plan of action and start to carry it out all while avoiding some major pitfalls.  Second I would say too much info can hamper you so get some basics and decide which way you would like to go then do that.  Remember you can always add on as you learn more and get comfortable. Use bigger pockets as a wealth of knowledge to help you along the way. Happy Investing and please share.
