Newbie to REI from Houston, TX

Hello to the beautiful community of BP! This is Fletcher, from Houston TX. I just joined the Bigger Pockets a few minutes ago. I'm a novice in real estate investment (REI). I am hoping to learn as much as possible about REI and purchase my first rental property. Im honored to be part of this great community and I'm impressed with the wealth and breadth of information and the knowledge sharing on BP. My goal is to generate passive income through acquiring multifamily units. Like any beginner, I have many questions, which I will ask in various forums and hope that I'd benefit from the collective wisdom in BP and the wealth of knowledge of the BP's experienced investors. I'd like to establish relationships with successful investors in Houston as well as other cities/states and I'm open to any mentorship and partnership opportunity in REI.
