New To Bigger Pockets

Hello all,

My name is Lamart. I live in Connecticut. I am new to the site, however I have been listening to the Bigger Pockets Podcast for a few months (among a couple of other real estate podcasts). I have been reading up on real estate investment and finally decided that I felt it was time to take the plunge. Real estate has always peaked my interest but it never seemed attainable. Whenever I considered investing in real estate I always found a reason to not take action whether that be someone saying something negative or assuming that I was only interested it to "get rich quick". I do not have any illusions about investing being easy; I have never been averse to hard work.

My background is in insurance. I work as a field property claims adjuster and I have experience in estimating restoration damages on jobs of low to moderate complexity as well as extremely complex claims up to 100k+. I feel that having this as part of my skillset may help me in determining the cost of a rehab and/or wholesaling opportunity.

I would love the opportunity to build a relationship with any/all like minded investors, realtors, contractors etc.
