Excited new member - Grand Rapids MI area
Hi everyone my name is Brandon Mitchem and I am from the Grand Rapids MI area. I have lived in this area for the past 10 years and love it!
Over the past few weeks I've been on fire about the real estate investment market thanks to a close friend and member (I think) of BP. After getting introduced to Rick Dad Poor Dad my mindset got flipped upside down and it all seemed so much clearer for a future where financial freedom isn't just a dream. With the birth of my first child and the uncertainty of a manufacturing job (in which the company just got sold) the idea to take control of my financial future skyrocketed to the top of my priority list.
I have really very minimal knowledge of real estate or investing for that matter so I am trying to take the next months or year to educate myself and my wife so we are better equipped to pursue our goals of financial freedom. The BP website is awesome and the podcasts are equally valuable. Looking forward to networking with other investors and eventually helping others.

Welcome to the forums! I think your starting off where a lot of new investors do/did, myself included. Mindset shift is the biggest hurdle for people I think so it’s good you’ve made the jump already. Lots of great local investors and resources on here, jump in and educated yourself as much as you can!
