Hi BiggerPockets members,

My Name is Anthony Butler. I currently work as a software developer in Toronto, and after many years of long hours and late nights, i started questioning whether i wanted to continue this path into my 30's and 40's (currently 28). After researching ways of generating passive income i stumbled upon the amazing Bigger Pockets podcast, which brought me here. 

I hope to get started in Real Estate Investing, as a new passive income stream that will grow over many years. I'd like to start in the GTA area (if possible buy a duplex to live in 1 part and rent out the other) and branch out to other areas in Ontario, as i gain more experience, and partnerships with like minded people.

I'd like to add that BiggerPockets is a great site filled with a wealth of information, and i am anxious to consume as much as possible. Starting with the Ultimate Beginners Guide to Real Estate Investing.

Can't wait to meetup and learn from all the experience investors on the forum as well as the newbies like me, and having great discussions about the Real Estate investing world.

Since you like podcasts but want more Canadian info...Sarah Larbi's podcast is called "Where Should I Invest?". There's also "Breakthrough Real Estate" (one host from Oshawa, the other Hamilton), and "the Truth about Real Estate Investing" with a host from Hamilton. I recommend all 3 for excellent interview-style real estate info specific for CDNs.
