Newbie from Suwanee, GA
Hi Bigger Pockets Community,
My name is Matt Watkins. I live in Suwanee, GA (suburb about 25 miles NE of Atlanta). My day job is a commercial insurance broker (P&C) for a large multi-national brokerage. My initial goals in real estate are simple: 1) learn as much as I possibly can 2) find and fund my first deal. After that, my goals are to scale the proceeds from my first deal into a snowball effect, and create a real estate portfolio to build wealth for my family. I would love to achieve financial independence (who wouldn't?) one day, but for now am just focused on creating as large a nest egg as possible.
I found Bigger Pockets through the podcast (I think looking for investment related podcasts), and that led me to the site. Open to networking with people I can learn from and work with, both here on the site, and in person. I'm open to any suggestions on educational sources, and where to network with like minded people to help me get started.
