Newbie from Lakeland, Florida
Hello, My name is Cody Menefee. I grew up in central Kentucky near Lexington, but moved to Lakeland, Florida in 2014 for college. I attended Southeastern University where I studied Elementary Education (but never finished). I am currently an admission counselor for the University. Shortly after I arrived in Florida I met my wife, we have been happily married for 8 months. I am seeking to invest in small multi-families unit in the Lakeland, Florida area. I.e. Duplexes, Triplexes, and Quadplexes. My goal is to buy and hold, or at least BURRRR. Would love to chat and learn!

@Cody Brock Menefee Welcome to BP & your start to RE! I love the Lakeland market. One thing I'd encourage you to do if you haven't already is to research the type of areas these multi families are in to ensure you & your wife want to live there. I'm generalizing, but most of Lakeland's multifamily properties are not in good areas. (My wife wouldn't go there) Also, make sure you have a good property manager or you are the type of person that can manage these types of properties. Personally, I've realized I am not one to manage in war zones, so we stay away from them.
