At this moment I've never purchased a property, but I'm looking to change that.
I've been doing a lot of snooping at Biggerpockets.com and decided it was time to quit lurking LOL.
I am looking to get into multi-unit homes in my local area and either rent them to tenants or go with Airbnb.
Thanks for reading.
Welcome to Biggerpockets. It's a great place to learn and make connections.
i'm a multifamily investor in Albuquerque so let me know how I can help?
I live in ABQ. I do smaller multifamily investing, and I'd be interested to hear about your experiences.
Welcome to BiggerPockets Gina and good luck investing!
Thanks for the warm welcome.
Jens, how is it going? I've got a realtor, but I am looking for a good contractor to deal with. Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks in advance.
Hi Matt, I really don't have a lot of experience. I'm looking for my first purchase, but all i've found so far is in neighborhoods that are scary or stuff that is way out of my price range.
Thanks to all.
Hiya Gina! Welcome to the area! I've had trouble finding MFRs myself as you described. But I'm on the hunt!
Hello! @Gina Dobbs
Welcome to BP, and congratulations on making the decision to invest in your future via real estate.
I have written a few blog posts that may help you get started here on BP, and with your investing. Please click on the links, give them a read, and share your thoughts in the comments.
First is a post that I feel will help not get overwhelmed with the amount of info that is here on BP:
The second is a post that will help get you focused with your real estate investing goals:
The last one is a post that will help you choose an “investor friendly” real estate agent. There are many agents out there, but it’s important to choose the right one.
I love answering questions if you have any! Good Luck :)
Finding an investor friendly real estate agent has been the biggest challenge so far.
So far every time I look at a foreclosure my agent does everything in her power to keep me from looking at it. They don't want to write offers unless it's full market value.
I've been thinking of changing up my strategy from real estate agents to direct mail or just getting a license.
Anyway thanks for the links.
