Howdy! From a Newbie in San Antonio, Texas

Hello BP!

I have been a long-time learner here on the site and have finally gathered the courage to introduce myself. I am brand new to real estate but have decided to jump in so that I will be able to purchase a personal ranch and live primarily on cash flow before I am 35.

Until I can buy my first place, I plan to start a RE related career and to lease from landlords who would like me to use their unit as an Airbnb/STR.

The main career path I am eyeing is RE Appraiser. I have looked up Texas licensing requirements and have started talking to a local appraiser. I would love to also hear from professionals here. Do you have any advice or warnings for someone wanting to become an Appraiser?

Looking forward to connecting with other investors, especially those here in San Antonio!
