Recent College Grad looking to start investing!

Hello! Been reading numerous personal finance books and lurking BP for a few months now, but the savings are finally shaping up, so I've decided to take it more seriously :) I'm a recent college grad from the bay area who's been in industry for about 1-2 years now and I'm really interested in setting up a positive, reliable cashflow for myself to reach financial independence. Currently interested in a Buy & Hold strategy for single family and multi-unit properties on the 5-10 year timeframe. The areas that have peaked my interest so far have been:

  • Atlanta, GA
  • Boulder, CO
  • Houston, TX
  • Austin, TX
  • Los Angeles, CA
  • Seattle, WA

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated! Also very interested in networking with anyone (attorneys, CPAs, agents, brokers, property managers, investors) to begin laying down some professional roots in the RE space :)
