Hey everybody! I'm so glad to be a part of this community and knowledge base. I was referred to this site by a local investor and friend of mine, and the value of what this site has available to us is truly incredible. I've been researching and learning REI and feel ready to put together some marketing and start working towards making deals happen.
A little about myself; I'm currently employed full time as a GM of my family's small family entertainment business with two locations. Growing up, my father fixed and flipped probably 10-12 houses over the course of 3-4 years doing almost all the labor himself. I took a small local course in real estate back in 2014. Later that year, I attempted finding deals through a realtor friend on the MLS to fix and flip, and ultimately decided it was not the right time to be flipping, but in reality I just was undereducated and underprepared on how to find deals and the possibilities of different types of deals.
I'm going to work on networking with cash buyers and build my first marketing campaign and get some deals under contract! My plan is to focus on wholesaling and the occasional fix and flip to start and then open it up to holding some properties for cash flow.
I'm stoked to be a part of the BP community and learn from all of you! I love meeting new people, so please message me if you want to share your story or know more about me, and if you're local let's grab a coffee! I'm especially looking to meet investors able to make cash offers at this stage, I plan on doing whatever it takes to find you deals.
Brad, First I wish you the absolute best. Wholesaling can be very rewarding but as you probably already know, it is very simple, but not very easy. So do not give up if this what you are determined to do. Bigger Pockets is the right place to start. Much success!
Hey Brad I see you're from Upland, is good to see locals posting on BP.
I'm from Fontana and also learning as much as possible, you're right Bigger pockets is full of good information, lots of inspiring success stories.
I'm working towards my goal of getting into RE investing, I currently own one rental house in Rialto, which was my personal residence and just rented it out when we purchased our current house in Fontana so I'm an accidental landlord but I'm now getting more serious about investing.
Congrats on taking action on your first marketing campaign, I hope is a success and you get a lot of good deals and may be in the future when I'm ready I can be on your buyer's preferred list... lol!, let me know how it went and if I can be of any assistance.
I'm also looking to connect with locals, feel free to reach out.
Welcome to BP.
