Getting my real estate license in AZ

Hello, I’m Marco Jimenez from Phoenix Arizona. I am currently 18 years old and in my first year in college. I was wondering where I go to be able to get my license so I can start working and getting experience before I buy my first multi-family home. Any advice and tips are greatly appreciated thank you.

Welcome, Marco! I love your enthusiasm and motivation. You'll do well in your career with that mentality.

As the other commenters have noted, a license isn't necessary or even recommended to purchase one property. If you want to make a career of real estate, that's a different story, though. All depends on your long-term goals.

If you haven't plugged into the Bigger Pockets podcast yet, I can't recommend it highly enough. Lots of great interviews and stories from folks who do real estate as a side hustle, and others who focus on it as their full time job, and still others who passively invest. It's so helpful to learn the full scope of what's possible in this business and then think through where you see yourself fitting into the options. I think you'll enjoy them!

Best of luck to you as you start your journey!
