Hey bp family. As I sit at my kitchen table at 3 in the morning on a tuesday i have come to the conclusion that it is time to take action. I can no longer let myself be deceived by the thought that my 9 to 5 or in my case 4 to 12 job will provide me the kind of life that I want and dreamed of for my family. I have been on bp for around a year, listening to podcasts, reading the many different blogs, playing with numbers on the different calcs, and browsing many of the forums. But today, presently, i feel that action is required. Today, I feel deserving of the life i had envisioned, and I hope that this is the beginning of something great. So, I guess that I should actually introduce myself. My name is Dan and I'm from Sussex county NJ. I have no true real estate experience but I have known since my 20's that investing in real estate was something that interested me. In looking to get into small multi family and single family rentals using the brrr strategy. And from the community I would be asking for any recommendations in regards to just about anything, realtors, lenders , contractors etc. Thanks for letting me jump in.

Hello! @Dan Oakley

Welcome to BP, and congratulations on making the decision to invest in your future via real estate.

I have written a few blog posts that may help you get started here on BP, and with your investing. Please click on the links, give them a read, and share your thoughts in the comments.

First is a post that I feel will help not get overwhelmed with the amount of info that is here on BP:

https://www.biggerpockets.com/blogs/5868/52761-the-simple-guide-to-getting-started-on-bp

The second is a post that will help get you focused with your real estate investing goals:

The last one is a post that will help you choose an “investor friendly” real estate agent. There are many agents out there, but it’s important to choose the right one.

I love answering questions if you have any! Good Luck :)
