Hi All,

I’m a software engineer based in San Francisco, CA. I’m originally from Portland, OR and have spent the last five years in California including one year in San Diego.

Living in San Francisco gives me access to some of the best investment opportunities around due to the low cost of housing, excellent rent:buy ratios, low property taxes, and abundant supply. Life is good!

Truthfully though, back in the real world I’m looking into 3-4 unit properties in the Phoenix area to invest in with my brother. We’re also considering vacation rentals in Scottsdale but would prefer to stick to a more tried and true method that scales well.

I’ve been pre-approved for a rental property loan and am looking for the right deal to pull the trigger on. I’ve listened to about 20 - 30 BP podcasts and have read the following books:

- The ABCs of Real Estate Investing (Ken McElroy)

- The Book on Rental Property Investing (Brandon Turner)

- Long-Distance Real Estate Investing (David Greene)

Excited to learn more from this great community!
