New Investor - Northern Virginia

Hello Bigger Pocketers! My name is Robin Canela and I am new to Real Estate Investing with no background.

I was born and raised in NYC, residing in Northern Virginia for the last 10 years.

I am a Network Engineer and my Wife works for the Gov't.

My primary goal for becoming an investor is to not be dependent on my job as my primary source of income

My long term goal is to be my own boss freeing up more time for friends, family and travel :-).

I found biggerpockets after researching (Real Estate Investors) REI "gurus". I have attended Legacy Dad's free online webinar & FortuneBuilders in person seminar and several REI youtubers, so I stumbled on BP site and I am glad I did before I made any commitments to spending several thousands of dollars that I do not have.

I look forward to networking with many fellow investors!

 Congrats and welcome!  My wife and I just moved from Stafford to F'burg in August and absolutely love it.  Perhaps we need a BP meet-up?
