Jersey City Newbie Starting Out!

Patrick Fermo
Posted

Hello Bigger Pockets community!

My name is Patrick Fermo and I'm a very green real estate 'investor' from Jersey City NJ. investor is in quotes because I haven't actually made any investments yet. I'm still in the 'gain as much knowledge as I can' phase of my investing career. As of now I'm mostly interested in buy and hold rental property investments, but I am open to any and all information. So I wanted to make my first post as a community member by asking for any advice any of you may have for a beginner investor. What did you do that led you to where you are now? What do you wish you had done differently? Right now everything seems a bit overwhelming because there's SO much information available. How did you all get started? I'm looking forward to hearing back from all of you and having engaging conversation!

Hi @Patrick Fermo

Welcome to BP, I always encourage going out and meeting/networking with as many investors as you can. There are a bunch of local meetups in the North Jersey area which are a great way to learn and network. Go on BP or meetup.com and you will find some good meetings.
