This is my first post and I was curious as to where I start. I think Multi Family sounds interesting and I would like to purchase my first duplex by the end of next year once I pay off all my credit card debt. There's so much information out there that it seems a bit overwhelming.
With that said, where do I start? What resources should look at first, whether it be here on the site or outside resources (books) to help me to accomplish my goal by the end of next year?
Update: Just saw this. https://www.biggerpockets.com/guides... I'd still appreciate any advise you have.
Start with consuming as much knowledge as possible. This is done best through podcasts, books, and meetup's. Once you feel confident buy a duplex and house hack it. Continue the education aspect and from there begin to think of ways to scale. This is what I did when I started my journey in real estate 18 months ago and am now at 91 units.
That's awesome Brock! How much money did you start with if you don't mind me asking
