Newbie from Los Angeles, CA wanting to master house hacking!
Hey Bigger Pockets Fam! My name is Mynka and I'm a production manager in the fashion industry currently working on getting my real estate license in California. I've definitely been feeling lately that it was time for a career change and owning real estate has always been a goal of mine, but I just didn't know where to start.
I found Bigger Pockets through their YouTube channel and knew I had to join this community after watching my first couple of videos. My sister and I want to get started with house hacking in Los Angeles with multi-family properties. We are looking for duplexes right now and just trying to get an understanding of the numbers. Our goal is to generate passive income by growing our real estate portfolio so we can both have freedom of time to pursue the things we are truly passionate about.
