Newbie from Columbia, Maryland
Hi all. My name is Charlene Mead. I reside in the gorgeous state of Maryland. I'm a single mom who's about to send my only kid off to college next year. I've been an educator for 20 years and I'm ready for something new. I'm totally brand new to the world of real estate investing. I'm particularly interested in wholesaling because my teacher's salary is laughable and I need a low-cost start to real estate investing. I plan on branching out to buy and hold or flipping or both in the future. I'm enjoying meeting people here on Biggerpockets and getting so much info to get started. I'm so ready to start 2020 off strong in this new endeavor. I look forward to making new connections. Today is Christmas, so I wish you all a Merry Christmas. Charlene, BWI Meetup is one of the more popular ones. There are lots of groups in the area, each with it's own strengths and weaknesses.
Google Meetup or REIA and you will find many choices. @Russell Brazil a popular member here is starting a new club in DC, DC REI Rockstars. It is a little farther away but I expect it to be a great group. @Alexander Felice one of the podcast guests and a moderator here will be the first guest speaker.
