Finally jumping into the pool - Trevor from Chicago

Trevor Jones
Posted

I have been reading/eating/listening to real estate investing for YEARS now. I am glad to finally pull the trigger with a partner of mine (first time for him as well) and pick up our first investment property!

also - after reading the post on how to post for first timers....

Real name is Bruce Way.... Trevor Jones.  I am from Chicago and I am looking to build a modest portfolio of MFPs until I can roll them into something larger with commercial on the first floor.  Really my 5 or 10 year goal is just to build enough free cash flow to support headcount so that I can scale the business beyond my own labor hours.

Interested to hear about how people here found lifelong investing partners... how to start an opportunity fund... and really all the tools I will need to realize my own goals in real estate.

Thank you all in advance for your time, consideration, and support!

Congratulations, @Trevor Jones!

The best thing to do is start taking ACTION! Start looking at properties in various neighborhoods to get a better understanding of the market. It took me about 6 months to figure out where I wanted to invest. Market research for rents, new developments, and actually check the neighborhood out yourself or know others who live in the area. Its the best way to learn.
