I'm finally posing to the site, as I've been a member stalking the forum for years. I appreciate all the input because I havent been contributing myself. I guess it's a good time to start

I'm Brook Wishart, from northern Alberta, Canada. I'm become enamoured with real estate over the passed few years. I believe it to be an important factor in achieving wealth. I've completed a couple deals but currently only own one duplex. Cash flowing $880 a month. Focused on increasing my knowledge and skill in multifamly and commercial development.

Currently I am on the final stages of planning a multifamily development on a 0.89 acre lot in the same town. I purchased the lot cash with the intention of building 20+ units.

I've worked in oil and gas and construction most of my life. Made some good early investments in O&G sector, so I'm looking to redeploy and become financially free in the next 5 years. Would love to spend more time with the family, 4-wheeling in my RZR, fishing or hunting. Heavy interest into weight lifting and most things athletic.

Hi Brook and about darn time you posted ;) Your story sounds all to familiar to mine, coming from the o&g sector as well. With that being said, I'm pretty over it as well thus the heavy investment of time and money in real estate. I hear other investors who are killing it with short term rentals in your area there, which I can see why. It's beautiful! 

I wish I could help you more with your commercial endeavor but that is a realm I am also just looking into and figuring out my place. I would love to hear more about your plans for this multifamily property though as I know that can be a great area to invest. 2 units to 20+ units is a hefty jump but I like it, go big or go home right?
