Hi All!

I'm Kai Yap from Singapore and staying in Singapore.

Currently working in the Marine sector's desk bound job.

Have no background and experience in real estate investing.

looking to buy and hold properties in US and UK but haven't have got cash, connection or network.

Wad buying Kindle books of Robert Kiyosaki and saw BP's series of book and got curious and came by the website.

looking for someone who could guide myself and my partner which is to 1. Replace both our employed income and 2nd have excess to enjoy life better.

Hope to hear from you guys soon!

Hey Kai Yap,

Welcome to BP! I'm US expat who's living in Singapore.

This is a great resource for getting started. Kiyosaki's books are decent for mindset, and the BP books are a good start for learning the mechanics of real estate investing. I'd say start by learning how buy-and-hold investing works (while saving up to purchase). Once you've got a sense for the mechanics, then the folks around here can help you map out the next steps.

I also run a meetup group out here for folks who want to learn how to invest in the U.S. I just scheduled our first meeting of 2020, we'd love to have ya:

Hi Sam,

thank you for taking time to reply.

myself and my young partner really lack the methods. Hopefully we can meet and learn about basics of the how to and tricks of the trade.

both of us are not in good finance condition. I have high expenses and my younger partner is still studying.

Thanks for sharing the link. I am working at Tuas so doubt I could be there on time but I will try to schedule some time out.

hey guys, I also live in Singapore. My wife and I have a few rental properties in Korea. We are keen to meetup with like minded people here and learn more about opportunities in other markets.

Very keen to join one of the meet up's Sam. Even if its only 5 people allowed in person at the moment or on Zoom :)

I see you had a meetup in January. Super keen to learn more about the topics that you discussed - "How to identify good markets for investing. What characteristics are important? How do you choose between multiple markets?"

Cheers
