I have spent the last few months lurking and reading books on real estate investment (specifically rental properties) and I wanted to introduce myself. 

I am truly new to real estate and am eager to learn! I have a background in small business consulting, starting companies and running them into the ground, brand management, and new product development (which is what I currently do). 

If you have any advice or to-dos and not-to-dos I would love to hear it.

Mitchell I'm sorry but I had to laugh a little bit at the running them into the ground part of your introduction!  I would be able to give more tailored advice if you could provide a little bit more information about the rental properties you're interested in investing in.
