Hello All,
I'm seeking to learn more about the real estate business and how to do my first deal. I currently reside in Savannah, GA. Where do I start?

Sheronda, real estate investing is a very broad term which includes many different strategies. The first step would be to familiarize yourself with the options you will have and learn a little about the various methods (rehabbing, buy and hold, wholesaling, note investing, etc). I would recommend reading the forums and blogs as much as you can about various real estate topics until you figure out which strategy will fit your personal situation (financial, strengths and weaknesses, goals, etc).

Once you have an idea of where you want to start you can focus your education and information gathering on that method until you have the tools ready to get started. In the mean time you can start attending local real estate investing association meetings where you can meet some people and start learning about your local market...if you are lucky, you will meet someone willing to help you get started.

Please tell us a little more about your goals so you can hone in on a specific area of real estate investing.
