Young Boston resident eager to start investing!

Hi all,

I’m Jeff, a 25yo Software Engineer currently renting a 1BR in South Boston with my girlfriend. I’m extremely eager to make the transition to the other side of rentals and buy a multi-family to start house hacking.

Another investment strategy I'd love to eventually employ is the BRRRR method since I have a good amount of local (central MA, south shore) general contractor and subcontractor connections. I'm also curious about getting my real estate license and how much it'd help with executing the strategies mentioned.

I’d love to connect with other individuals in the Boston/Cambridge area who share similar interests in real estate and I’m all ears to any advice people think would be helpful.

Cheers,

Jeff

Hi @Jeff Chaves! Happy to see others interested in the market here in MA. Like most have mentioned already, multi-family tends to be a more recommended and popular strategy especially within most of MA. Do you know whereabouts you'd be interested in looking? I'd be more than happy to connect and share some of my insights / experiences in investing in the state if you'd like.
