Germany, fully furnitured flat

I'm tending to look into small flats, but not sure what would be the best: rent it furnished or unfurnished. Anyone has any experience in the German market? Sounds like a very, very tough one. But it is where I am right now, so I gotta deal with it.... looking forward to your inputs, happy to be here!
