Newbie in Richmond, VA

Good evening BP,

My name is Ron and I honestly don't know how I found this site (think I was searching something RE related), but as a person who believes that nothing happens just because I feel it was meant for me to find the site and become a member.

I am a aspiring RE investor seeking an experienced mentor to learn the ropes from in the Richmond, VA area. I want to rehab and flip as well as rehab and keep and build a nice portfolio that I can one day pass on to my daughter.

I currently work at SunTrust Mortgage and attend VCU School of Business majoring in Real Estate and Urban Land Development. I have completed the Long & Foster Salesman License course back in "07", but due to the bubble bursting I had to pump the brakes on venturing out as a salesman. I have read tons of books and continue to pick up and read books involving RE, I am currently reading "FLIP" which seems to have a ton of information for a newbie like myself.

I am learning the site and have to say there is a lot of good information here and the fact that you actually interact with those who have the same passion as yourself is a plus.

As I previously stated I am here for a mentor, networking, connections, information and wisdom.
