Hello All. I've been reading the forum and it's great to see so many people helping out one another. I look forward to speaking with many of you and exchanging ideas and practices.

I have been reading and researching real estate investments for quite some time now. I currently own and operate general construction company and we have worked with a number of New York City and New York State agencies on public work projects. My dream has always been to transition to real estate and have my money work for me rather than the other way around.

Ultimately, I would love to get to a point where I can buy and hold multi-family properties. However, right now I am looking to buy distressed properties, renovate them and put them back on the market for sale. My target area (at least for now) is primarily the South Shore of Long Island, NY.

I would LOVE to hear from people who have worked in this area!

CKM
