Real estate rookie looking for connections

Hey folks,

I’m in my late 20s living in Seattle area. I’m starting out in real estate investing and am so excited to join washington community on biggerpockets. I’d like to connect with you all and learn on how to get started on real estate investing. I’ve been self educating on some of the basics and even read couple of books. I’ve been exploring greater seattle market for about a year and haven’t really gotten to work out any deal so far. I’d love to understand what I’m doing wrong and how I can get started. Look forward to network with you all.

Thank you!

@M Shah welcome to BP! There's lost of successful investors here to learn from and partner with.

Sherief is right, househacking can be a great way to get started, as the lower down payment requirements and favorable loan terms make it much easier to find a deal. If you don't want to owner occupy and/or have more cash available, BRRRRing is a great strategy as well. Occasionally a turnkey rental opportunity presents itself, but around here the name of the game tends to be either Househacking or Value Add (aka Rehabs)
