Looking to become a new rental investor

Lev Platsman
Posted

Good morning everyone.

So I am trying to get my feet wet with real estate. I am looking to invest into a rental property. I live in new york city. I currently have no interest to invest in my own area. So from the research I have done there are a few cities that come up as great investments for rental properties. Some of these are orlando, tampa bay, jacksonville charlotte, and Raleigh. My biggest dilemma is the distance from where I currently reside to where the investments are. I am currently leaning towards orlando, but worried about the distance. Does anyone else do long distance investing? How has it worked out for you? Any tips you can provide?

Good morning, Lev. The majority of investors in Orlando are either out of state or out of county. All you need is a good team. Knowledgeable Realtor, reliable property manager, skilled maintenance crew.
