Future RE agent in Brooklyn, NY
Hi Everyone,
My name is Yannelly Mercado. I’m currently an elementary school teacher. I have been a teacher for 6 years now. I love teaching, however, it is time for a change. After countless months of research, listening to podcasts, and reading books, I’m ready to make a change. I desire change in my life and real estate is calling me! I’m just fascinated by all the information I have learned and all the experiences that people have shared with me. I cannot wait to get started. Switching from education to real estate is not a decision that I have made lightly. I have put a lot of thought, energy, and effort into it. However, it is the correct choice and I’m all in. I just completed the real estate salesperson course for NY. I will be taking my exam in March. If everything goes well, I hope to start part time until my teaching contract ends in June.
Now, unfortunately, I do not have any friends that are into real estate, investing, or know anything about it. I would love to make some connections that can share their experiences with me and develop a professional relationship.
Glad to become a part of the BP family !

@Abel Curiel thank you so much for welcoming me to this amazing community. I appreciate you taking the time to write this advice for me. These statistics are definitely something I think about often. It sometimes discourages me from taking the next step. However, I know myself and the effort that I put into my everyday work. Real estate will be receiving a tremendous amount of hard work, effort, and love from me, similar to what I give to my current students. Thank you again! I will save your post and refer to it throughout my new journey.
