Newbie From San Francisco

Hey everyone! My name is Ryan and I have absolutely zero background in real estate. I’m originally from San Diego but my job has brought me to San Francisco a couple of times in the last 10 years. I consider myself lucky! I was turned on to BiggerPockets by a fellow classmate from Coast Guard Officer Candidate School.

If I could summarize my real estate goals as quickly as possible, I’m going for the “long-game”. Ideally, I would like to purchase a house at each of my duty stations and rent them out as I transfer to the next adventure. Throughout this process my secondary goal is to get smart on investing. I still haven’t determined what type of investing is right for me and consider myself an open-book.

I have spent the last 8 months listening to the BiggerPockets podcast, starting at episode 1. I hope to get further away from “not knowing what I don’t know” so I can be as active as possible here. I’m already impressed with this community and very excited for the learning ahead!

Thanks for reading!

Ryan
