Hi everyone and Happy Independence Day!
My name is Matt and I live in St Paul, MN. I bought my 1st duplex back in 1997 as my first home which I rehabbed and then built a spec house in 2001 that I was planning to sell. Fortunately, I met my wife in August of 2002 and have since gotten married and had 3 kids. Sold my rental property, worked 4 years as an EMT/ Firefighter and now that my kids are grown up a little, I'm looking to get back in the game with my wife.
I have worked with the city here on a number of rehabs and also have quite a bit of experience as a carpenter/ contractor. Currently pushing to find that 1st deal. Mailed some letters, looked at lots of houses on the MLS, and have been searching RealtyTrac for leads on preforeclosures. Found a house I'd really like to get a hold of that is in it's redemption period if anyone knows a short-sale specialist that could help me work out a deal with the bank/owner.
