Howdy everybody!
My name is Diego Alvarado. I am originally from Guatemala and came to the USA to go to the university and do some swimming. I am a recent grad with a Masters in RE and Industrial Engineering and right now I am a full time researcher at the university!
I started playing with the idea about RE several years back when I read a very famous RE book! However, I never did anything while I was in undergrad. While in grad school my wife and I bought a 4-plex in 2010 and lived in one of the units while renting the other ones. Recently we got another property to live on with the intention to rent it out in a year. Even with some deal under my belt I realized that I still have a lot to learn about RE.
I am interested in real estate investing but at the moment I am interested in Multi-family properties, wholesale and flips. My goal is to be able to be financially free in 5 years so I can start investing in real estate full time.
I came to join BiggerPockets while trying to find more information about a deal I am looking at and a RE group that charges a hefty fee. Once I found the website I downloaded the BP podcast and I was hooked!
