Hello Bigger Pockets Community!

Vince Momot
Posted

My name is Vince Momot, and I will be moving to Atlanta GA at the beginning of June. I first became interested in real estate from Graham Stephan and Meet Kevin on YouTube, then I read Brandon Turner's "The Book on Rental Property Investing" where he gave high praise to the BP website and its podcasts. Since then I have read more books and listened to over 100 podcasts and now I am ready to take action on my learning.

I want my first property to be a small multifamily house-hack most likely with some minor rehab neededAfter the first property, I will invest in more long-term multifamily properties and after 10 years I will try and consolidate most of the properties with a 1031 into a larger multifamily complex with a property management team! If anyone has done something similar I would love to hear about it and any tips they might have. Thank you in advance for your welcoming community!

Welcome to the site @Vince Momot! Your plans sounds solid - start a small MFH house hack is a great way to start your REI career. Then, continuing to add more properties over time, eventually making a larger purchase like a multifamily complex like you mentioned. Wishing you the best of luck in achieving that, and hope to hear about your successes soon!
