How to Find Agents who work with Investors

Question

Hello, I'm just starting off looking for investment properties and I'm trying to find an agent who works directly with real estate investors in the Long Island, New York area.

Any suggestions on where I can start to find agents who work directly with investors?

@Matthew Cohen, good luck on getting started.  You can always find agents that specialize in investment opportunities.  Like someone else said, you can look and search on BP.  Another very effective method is to get involved with your local REI group.  There will be agents in that group, or people that will be working with a recommended agent in the area that comes with a great reputation.  Or, do a quick search of local broker teams in the area and start asking around.  Always ask the question on who is the best and help the most people out (deals done).  You can ask if they actively invest themselves.  Do they practice what they preach?  Although, I do appreciate those that only focus on one thing and not trying to do it all - so if they don't invest it isn't the end all.
