New Investor from Los Angeles, CA

Hi BP Community! 

My name's Matthew Gould. I'm a CPA from Los Angeles, CA looking to get started in real estate investing after getting inspired from some of the BP books and Gary Keller's Millionaire Real Estate Investor. I don't have any prior real estate investing experience, so I'm trying to build as strong a foundation as possible by learning as much as I can. 

My goal is to purchase my first property by the end of 2021. I'm still researching and deciding what market I'd like to focus on, the Southern California area is a little bit pricey so I've been looking at states like Arizona, Texas, Tennessee, etc. I want to start with single family residences and want to eventually work my way up to multi-family properties, using my current career to help provide investment capital over the next 5 - 10 years.
