I don't own a house and have only purchased a house to live in in 2005, which we sold in 2007. Now I am looking to stop being broke and build financial security through real estate investing. I am just starting out, but I hope to close a deal by the end of the year. I have no cash, no credit and no experience, what could go wrong???

Anyway, I want to learn as much as possible before I take the plunge, but I don't want to get caught up in the data. Austin is expensive for renters and will always have a student population in search of housing. So I need to find a motivated seller and some homeless students and viola! collect the money. All kidding aside, I hope to start a new journey that will provide financial security for my family.
