Any investors from Toronto or GTA?

Hi BP Community! My name is Ryan and I am new into the world of real estate investing. I've been learning a lot from the podcasts recently and wanted to connect with other investors here on this forum. Currently learning how to analyze and evaluate homes before making my first purchase. I wanted to know if it's better to start with a flip or a buy and hold, as I'm looking into both strategies at this stage. Any thoughts on this are welcomed, or any general insight!
