Hi everyone! My name is AJ Patel and I am just starting out in REI at the age of 26 here in the Orlando area. I have a full time job as a Project Manager and have also operated many successful online companies in the past through my high school and college years.
I am also a silent partner in a liquor store here in Orlando, but honestly I have been looking to get into something that will allow me some more flexibility in the future and I strongly believe REI is the way to go. I have been lurking here for for a month now, listening to podcasts and reading up blogs, forums, books, etc. So it has been a nice learning experience.
I am now ready to take action, even though I may not not every facet of the business. My strategy is to start out with wholesaling and I am looking to send out my first mailers by next week. I will be following up on the leads during breaks, after business hours and during the weekend. I also have a partner and we are planning to move aggressively on this. If we run across something that we're not sure about, I am hoping that this great community will be there to help! I know we will make some mistakes along the way, but I feel that is the best way to learn as long as we're honest about our dealings.
End goal is to get into a buy and hold strategy. I'm really excited to finally join and I am looking forward to making some great connections here!
