Handymen Recommendations in Jacksonville,FL?

Question

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for recommendations for reliable and quality handymen in Jacksonville,FL that do great work at reasonable prices. Being able to take digital photos and email/txt photos is a big plus as well.

Own several properties in Jacksonville,FL and looking to continue purchasing in the area so looking for a long term type of relationship rather than a one time deal on one property.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

@Arlan PotterThat nightmare you describe is eerily similar to my last rehab in Georgia. The more they did the worse it got and the more clear to me they had no clue although they came with great pictures and references. Also boasting extensive experience like the 8 year tiling veteran complaining that the tile was too heavy.

@Joseph M. let me know if you are still looking for help i have been on the field over 10yrs experienced on paint, plumbing, electrical, drywall, roofing, appliances repair, HVAC repairs (EPA certify) pool maintenance (CPO certify) concrete work, installing fence ect ect you name it. I'M VERY CAREFUL on what i do and work to the detail for example if i do a drywall repair you wont be able to tell there was a hole, i have been through the hard time of finding good contractors myself been a maintenance supervisor for a management company but as i'm approaching the real estate i'm planing to do as much as i can on my own to save me some money at the begging.

If you can find one, you better pay them well and don't tell anyone else, or you will lose them.

Good handy men that know what they are doing, are hard to find.

My nephew owns a rental that had a bad shower job, leaking like crazy, and needed it ripped out and a new tub and surround put in. He got a handy man recommended to do the job, labor only for $1,200.00. He said ok.

The problem is that the guy and his two helpers had about a 1/10 knowledge on how to do the project. I made 10-15 trips to the house to check on them and each time there was something else they were doing wrong or not quality or just plain dumb.  Then they complained that the tile (12x12 ceramic) was too heavy to place on the shower surround. The tile person who said she had 8 years experience said the tile was too heavy. Right.

The worst part is that the boss who got the job, wouldn't stay around to supervise the 2 helpers he left there to do the work. They were not really bozos, just two guys in over their head. They needed supervision.

If you get good help, pay them well.
