Scams on BiggerPockets?

Hello, 

I am wondering if there are any scams that might be common on BP, or if there is anything I should watch out for when interacting with people on the website. I don't have a specific example, but am just wanting to be extra safe.

fraudulent lenders which require upfront fees

mortgage acceleration programs

don't post "I have $XX,XXX.  Which strategy should I choose?"  The answer is always "My strategy (or business)!"

PM me or unsolicited PMs (may not be a scam but it's a sales pitch)

Before sending any money, just do a basic search of the forums and you can avoid many scams and bad actors (or just start a post before taking action and get feedback).
