Use or Not use a designer

Stan Koper
Posted

We recently purchased a beach home for short term rental. My wife and I have owned and renovated 4 homes that we've lived in. But this is our first true investment property.

were plenty capable of good design. But curious people's opinions when it comes to an investment and the pros and cons of using a designer or not.

I wouldn't waste money on a designer for an investment property....maybe for a real high-end home.

The really good ones that are worth having around charge a fortune (I've paid as much as $30k for the ones that help design custom home builds) and the ones that are cheaper are not worth having IMHO...
